How to Convert File System to SharePoint Repository? - Step by Step Details

How to use PCVITA Express Migrator for SharePoint migration Software while performs File System to SharePoint Repository migration process. File System to SharePoint migration process steps are as follows:

1. Once open the PCVITA Express Migrator for SharePoint, select File System to SharePoint Repository migration option as shown below:
   
   
   
   
2. Fill the Job name, description and click the Next button to proceed further. Software will display a screen as shown below:
   
   
   
   
3. Click the Add Files or Add Folder button to select source file(s) or folder(s) from system that need to be migrated to Sharepoint Server Repository. Software displays a screen as shown below:
   
   
   
   
4. Select the file(s) or folder(s) and click the Open button. You will see all selected file(s) as shown below:
   
   
   
   
5. Click the Next button. Software displays a screen as shown below:
   
   
   
   Attributes Filters:
   
   
   • Overwrite Existing File - This option will overwrite existing file of given url.
   
   
   • Maintain Dates - This option will maintain original created and modified dates of file(s).
   
   
   • Maximum file size - This option will skip file whose size is greater than you selected.
     
     
   File Type Filters:
   
   
   • Exclude this type - This option will skip files which file types you have entered.
     
     
   Date Filters:
   
   
   • Created From - This options will migrate those files created between selected date ranges.
     
     
   • Modified From - This options will migrate those files modified between selected date ranges.
   
   
   
6. Apply the Attributes, File Types and Date filters and click the Next button. Software displays a screen as shown below:
   
   
   
   
7. Enter valid SharePoint url and click the login button. Software will ask for Login Details as shown below:
   
   
   
   
8. Enter valid User Name and Password and click the Connect button. You will see provided SharePoint Server hierarchy as shown below:
   
   
   
   
9. You can create and Delete New Folder and Document Library by right clicking on hierarchy as shown below:
   
   
   
   
10. Select the Destination path from SharePoint Server hierarchy and click the Next button. Software shows a screen as shown below:
    
    
    
    
11. Here you can see existing columns of SharePoint List and can enter values specific to any column. You can also Add and Delete new Column by clicking on Add Column and Delete Column button. If you are not interested to add any thing you can proceed further by clicking the Next button. Software shows a screens as shown below:
