Steps to Backup G suite Emails


STEP 1

Go to the start menu click on All Programs » SysTools Google Apps Backup » SysTools Google Apps Backup.

STEP 2

Click on the “Backup” button to start backup process:

Provide Two Backup Modes:

In two ways user can Backup the Google Apps user account data into their local machine.

Single User Backup: User can download the data of single Google Apps User account.
Domain Users: Download the data of entire Google Apps Domain users account or selected Google Apps user account.

Notes: For downloading data administrator need not to enter the password for all user accounts

With Single User Backup mode user can backup the data of Single Google Apps User account

Fill Credentials: To fill the needed credentials of Single User Backup

After filling all the information, click on Register button

After registering your Google Apps Account, you will get a notification message to login & allow the app.

Allow the Google Apps Backup tool to Download the data in your PC.

After allowing the App you will get the following message on browser

In next step, Software will show list of user's name & their password, then click on Next button.

Select the file type in which backup is required to store in local machine:

Emails: Take backup of Google Apps emails in selected file format (PST, MSG, EML & MBOX).

Configure Options: you can take backup of selected Google Apps folder(s) as details:

Add Time Interval: If you want to take backup according particular date, select Add Time Interval option.

Delete after Download: If you want to delete the entire items of Google Apps after downloading items of Google Apps folders, select Delete after Download option.

Select Category: select the items which are required to download on local machine

Emails: Take backup of Google Apps contents in four format.

Contacts: Take backup of Google Apps contents in .vcf (vCard) file format.

Calenders: Take backup of Google Apps contents in .ics file format.

Documents: Take backup of documents in MS Office format.

Click on Browse button for selecting destination location.

Click on Start button to start downloading process.

Get Backup Process Progress : Once the process to backup Google Apps is started, user can view the progress of process executed with username, email count, calendar count, contact count, document count report listed.

Welcome Screen – Once the tool is successfully installed and is ready then run it. After that user will get the Welcome screen with the option to backup provided. Click on Backup

Domain User Backup

With Domain User Backup mode user can backup the data of Google Apps User accounts attached with the domain.

Log in to Google Apps admin account and select Admin from Apps

In Advance settings go to Manage API client access

You need to add the following client ID and scopes domain-wide access of the SysTools Google Apps Backup. Click on "Authorize" button to save settings.

Fill Credentials: To fill the needed credentials of Domain User Backup.

Fill the ID of your Google App Domain Users account.

After filling all the information, click on Register button

After registering your Google Apps Account, you will get a notification message to login & allow the app.

Allow the Google Apps Backup tool to Download the data in your PC.

Select Category: Select the items (Emails, Contacts, Calenders & Documents.) which are required to download on local machine

Folder Filter: You can take backup of selected Google Apps folder(s)

Click on Browse button for selecting destination location. Click on Start button to start downloading process.
