How to Migrate from Outlook to Google Apps

Before Getting Started with G Suite / Google Apps migration for MS Outlook ensure that you need Login credentials for G Suite user account. Make sure that you have disable Proxy server and has enabled IMAP access.

First, Download and install Outlook to Google Apps Migrator on your system and launch it.

Now, the initial screen of the software will be displayed. You will see three options that are Add File(s), Add Folder(s) and Add CSV

To insert single PST or multiple PST files you have to select Add File(s) option

If you want to add folder consisting of PST file then click on Add Folder(s) option

To import multiple PST files to various G Suite account select Add CSV option

Once, you have added all the PST files click on the Next button

After that, you have to insert Google Apps credentials for each PST be which you want to import. Now, click on the Login button to validate

In the Select Categories, select the categories as per your needs. You can select Mails, Contacts, Calendars

To import according to a particular date, you can set the Date Filter option according to your requirements. This option will help you to import emails between a specific date range. Now, you have to apply the date filter by clicking on the Apply button

While importing Contacts, you can select the option to Exclude Duplicate Contacts. This will help you to import the contact by eliminating the duplicate contacts.

You can also import calendars according to date range by setting the Date Filter option. Just click on the Apply button to apply the date filter.

After that, to apply more filters on attachments and folders, select the Advanced options

  • Map Folder: With this option, the user can create a customized folder on Google Apps account for the transferred PST files
  • Maintain Folder Hierarchy: This feature allows the user to maintain the folder structure of the PST files
  • Exclude Sent Items: This option permits the user to eliminate the Sent Item folder from the selected PST files while the import process
  • Exclude Deleted Items: The feature removes the Deleted Items folder from the chosen PST files at the time of import process
  • Exclude Junk Email: With this option, the user can exclude the Junk folder from the selected PST files while the import process

You can also apply different Attachment Filters such as:

  • Maximum message Size: The user can enter the maximum attachment size manually while the moving emails
  • Maximum Attachment Size: This option allows the user to manually insert the maximum attachment size while transferring emails
  • Detach Attachment: With this feature, the user can import all the emails excluding attachments

Select Migrate Only New Date for the Incremental migration. With this option, you will be able to import only the data which is not transferred in the previous migration processes

Now, to begin the migration process, click on the Export button

You can also pause the migration process and then resume from the same point with the help of the Pause & Resume option provided by the software

While the export process, you can also preview the status of the Export process in the Export Report window. After the completion of the migration process, a message is prompted ‘Export Process completed successfully.’ Click on the OK button

To save the migration report in CSV format click on the Save Report button

Browse the location where you want to save the CSV file on your system

To preview the export report, you have to open the CVS file which you save on your system

Now, open imported PST email files in Google Apps account

You can also preview the imported calendars from PST file
