Backup Gmail on Mac in 6 Steps

Step 1. Launch the Tool on macOS
Install PCVITA Mac Gmail Backup and launch it on macOS. First screen opens and leads you to the Setup screen.
Step 2. Select Gmail and PST
Gmail comes selected as the source on the Setup screen. Select PST as the target format and move to the next screen.
Step 3. Choose the Workloads
The Workload Selection screen lists Emails, Documents from Google Drive, Contacts and Calendars. Keep all categories selected or tick one. Set the optional Date Filter and Delete after download when you need them.
Step 4. Sign in With Google and Grant Permissions
Allow pop ups in your browser. Click Sign in with Gmail on the Source screen and open the User Consent Window. Select Move To Permissions Grant Page and sign in on the Google page that opens. Finish 2 Step Verification if Google asks, tick all permission checkboxes and click Continue.
Step 5. Set the Destination Folder
Open the Destination screen after the authorization message appears. Click Browse and select the folder for your PST file. Set the PST file size if you want split files, then click Validate and Next.
Step 6. Fetch Folders and Start the Backup
Click Fetch Workload Folders and select the folders in every workload tab. Click Start Backup, confirm the prompt and check the license count. Real time dashboard then shows progress while your files build.
